Hell’s Kitchen – picking up during season 6

This blog is picking up the night before Hells Kitchen airs (w/ 10 remaining chefs).  To start with, here’s a little of my overall view of the show. Gordon’s a master at what he does, in my opinion. Master chef, entertainer and “donkey”
herder :-)

gordonwithblueteamI love the show. It’s just to bad that  most of the chefs just really aren’t the caliber that should be working with Gordon.  Fox knows how to entertain the American masses, which is why they get just okay chefs instead of really good chefs… it’s just more entertaining.  I don’t think it’s Gordon’s preference, but for what he’s getting paid I don’t think he complains much.  Average chefs, overplayed Fox drama, it gets a little silly at times. Anyone who keeps up with Gordons’ other BBC shows knows that most of what you see on Hells Kitchen is just plain drama wound up by the director and producer.  While Gordon is a loud guy, I think Fox gets him to ramp it up a little for the show.

So anyway—

None of the chefs so far are really standing out to me.  There’s something in me (I don’t know what) that would like to see Robert make it to the end. But I don’t think he will.  I have a feeling it will come down to Kevin, Sabrina and — maybe Suzanne. I hoping Tennille is gone soon. Hearing her narration drives me crazy.

On to Van.  He’s a good ole Texas boy, but I’m not too sure about his common sense.  Trying to throw Robert under the bus at the end when Gordon ask for who’s being put up for elimination; just plain dumb. Anyone who knows how Gordon thinks should know that this wasn’t going to fly. Roberts getting a 2nd chance from last season… Gordons not going to eliminate him now when he wasn’t even present at the service. Wake up Van.

More to come after tomorrow nights show.
