Gordon Ramsay’s F Word (Season 4, Episode 10) – The Biggins brigade

The Biggins brigade bombed, but not the recipes they cooked.  All three recipes looked really good and I’ll be cooking each one of them.

The starter was pea, mint and lettuce soup with parma ham. Simply and really tasty. Full recipe here. The team did so-so on this one, getting 40 or 50 paid.

The main course was smoked paprika chicken stroganoff.  I watched this episode late evening after having a big dinner, but I was still getting hungry watching Gordon cook this up. Watch for yourself here.

The only problem was the Biggins brigade screwed it up by clumping in the salt. Only 17 of 50 paid.

Next onto the desert. My daughters favorite…  Vanilla cheesecake with berry compote. Watching Gordon make this dessert had my daughter wanting me to get in the kitchen right at that moment and start making it.  While it looked easy enough for Ramsay, it didnt turn out so easy for the team. They only got 32 of 50 to pay, leaving them with a total of 89 out of 150… the bottom of the rung. They exited the kitchen to applause, which left Gordon yelling out “Don’t clap for them, they were terrible.”  Below is Gordon making the dessert the correct way.
